Lao Brewery Company to receive AEO certificate

LAO BREWERY COMPANY OPERATES AND WORKS IN LINE WITH INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS, HAVING BEEN GRANTED AEO ACCREDITATION BY THE LAO GOVERNMENT.

The Tax Department of the Ministry of Finance, or the Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, has certified Lao Brewery Co., Ltd. (LBC) as an AEO member. The company satisfied the requirements for the AEO program after passing the exam. Participating in the plan provides the corporation with substantial tax benefits when importing raw materials and exporting LBC's products.

The AEO certificate was handed over in Vientiane on Tuesday by the Director General of the Customs Department, Mr Phoukhaokham Vannavongxay, to the Managing Director of Lao Brewery Company, Mr Henrik J. Andersen, in the presence of Minister of Finance Santiphab Phomvihane, customs and tax officials, and representatives of leading companies in Laos.

 Mr Phoukhaokham Vannavongxay stated that "Two companies are participating in the Lao PDR's AEO project: Toyota Laos, Petrol Trade Imports and Exports Company, and, most recently, Lao Brewery Company Limited, which has submitted an offer to join the Customs Department's project and has appointed a responsible committee to answer the questionnaire in collaboration with the Customs Board and related sectors." Therefore, we are glad to certify the Lao Brewery Company as an AEO member. On behalf of the Customs Department's leadership, I'd like to congratulate Lao Brewery Company Limited on its achievements."

 Mr Henrik J. Andersen said “On behalf of the LBC, I am delighted and privileged to receive the AEO certificate from the Lao PDR government today. This AEO certificate we have been awarded by the government means that our company will be given special rights with regard to trading and the import and export of goods under AEO standards to ensure trade safety and strict compliance with laws and regulations in line with international standards.”
“AEO certification is an important milestone for LBC. As a leading business in Laos, we always strictly follow all related laws and regulations. AEO listing will help us in many aspects of our supply chain, from production to logistics, and about import and export procedures,” he added.

To meet manufacturing demands, the company imported an enormous quantity of raw materials from Asia and Europe. We also export our product to other countries throughout the world. We have three factories, two in Vientiane and one in Champasak province.” he added.

 AEO stands for Authorized Economic Operator. It is a standard for maintaining security and facilitating global trade called the WCO SAFE Framework of Standards to Secure and Facilitate Global Trade to create security standards and facilitate trade throughout the transportation route as well as promoting cooperation between government and business units, whether they are importers, exporters, warehouse operators, tax reporting service providers, carriers, etc., in the development of an effective.
